Happy new week : )
Trust you had a great weekend and your week is up for a great start?
I’m sorry you didn’t hear from me in the last 2 weeks. I didn’t have much resources to share and I was on some vacation in Belgium.
Here’s what I have for you this week:
What I did last week(s) 😇
  1. I published Stop comparing yourself with people: Most of the time in tech (as well as many other areas in life), we compare ourselves with our “mates” but we fail to realize that we’re being unfair to ourselves. In this TikTok video, I share why you should stop doing that.
  2. I published 3 years in Technical Writing | What I’ve Learnt/Gained: 26th June, 2022 made it 3 years since my first article in 26th June, 2019. Here’s what I’ve learnt and gained in this journey.
  3. I published How I went from 60 to 1k followers in a month | My Instagram Story: In my Instagram journey, I went from 60 to 1k followers in a month. Here’s my story.
  4. I published CSS positions explained | static, relative, absolute, fixed and sticky
  5. I published React Portals Simplified | Why and How to Use It: In this video, I explain what React portals are, use cases for it and how to use it.
  6. I published Consistency on TikTok. In this video, I share a better approach to consistency which can help you grow.
  7. I shared different posts explaining concepts around JavaScript, React and CSS on Instagram.
Here’s a technical writing resource I created, Simplified Technical Writing, where I share most (if not all) of my experience in Technical writing. In it, I share how to get started, how to get topics, writing jobs you can apply for and so much more. Do check it out if interested and share : )

Tool of the day 🛠
react-intl: If you are creating applications that would be used all over the world, then you must ensure that everyone can read your content. Using react intl, you can setup internationalization for your React applications.
Useful tip of the day ✨
You can assign default values when doing object destructuring. Here’s how:
const obj = {}
const { name = 'JS' } = obj
This way, if the obj variable has a name property, the value of that property will be assigned after destructuring, else, ‘JS’ will be assigned.
That’s it for this week.
I currently have an Instagram account @deeecode where I share code/tech tips from time to time. Do follow if you’re interested :)
If you’d like to talk about Tech (writing or software engineering) or have questions, you can schedule a meeting with me in my Calendly profile. Looking forward to meeting you.
As a content creator, I love simplifying diverse topics in web development that I understand. Do you have any issues, tools, or frameworks that you’d like to understand better? Do let me know, and I may come up with an article or video on it.
A new week, another opportunity to do amazing things! So go do amazing things 🚀.
Do have a splendid week 🌟
