Happy new week : )
Trust you had a great weekend and your week is coming up nicely?
Sorry you didn’t hear back from me last week. I didn’t have enough resources to share.
Here’s what I have for you this week:
What I did last week(s) 😇
  1. I published Getting used to the Dutch Language with Duolingo, in the Netherlands: I shared my experience of getting used to the Netherlands language since I moved to the country a couple of months ago
  2. I published Why must you have only one root JSX element in React? where I explain some internal workings of React and JSX and why the “JSX elements must have one root parent element” exists.
  3. I started two playlists on my Tech YouTube channel: JavaScript Array Methods Explained where I explain all the array methods in JavaScript and CSS Pseudo Elements Explained where I explain all the pseudo elements and their purpose in CSS.
  4. I also published CSS Pseudo Classes vs Pseudo Elements Explained (with examples), 4 Easy Ways to Loop Through Objects in JavaScript and How to Store Objects and Arrays in Local Storage.
  5. I crossed 5k followers on TikTok 😇.
  6. I also shared how Building Your Network increases your chances of getting interviews at companies and many other videos on my TikTok.
  7. I crossed 5k on Twitter 😃. I’m also doing a giveaway on there where I get few people data and give feedback on few people’s articles. I’m sorry this newsletter is coming late in the day, because this giveaway is only valid for the next one hour or so.
  8. I crossed 10k on my Instagram account 😇. I’m also doing a giveaway on there where I get few people courses, review few people’s Instagram content and also make posts for requested topics.
  9. I shared different posts explaining concepts around JavaScript and CSS on Instagram.

Useful tip of the day ✨
IIFE is an abbreviation for Immediately Invoked Function Expression (IIFE), and this refers to functions that are invoked by themselves immediately they are defined. Here’s an example:
function() {
Immediately after this line is declared, the function is immediately invoked and “Hello” logged to the console.
That’s it for this week.
Recently, I’ve been using my personal TikTok (@iamdillion) to share Tech information and my career experiences. You can follow me there if you’re interested :)
Here’s a technical writing resource I created, Simplified Technical Writing, where I share most (if not all) of my experience in Technical writing. In it, I share how to get started, how to get topics, writing jobs you can apply for and so much more. Do check it out if interested and share : )
If you’d like to talk about Tech (writing or software engineering) or have questions, you can schedule a meeting with me in my Calendly profile. Looking forward to meeting you.
As a content creator, I love simplifying diverse topics in web development that I understand. Do you have any issues, tools, or frameworks that you’d like to understand better? Do let me know, and I may come up with an article or video on it.
A new week, another opportunity to do amazing things! So go do amazing things 🚀.
Do have a splendid week 🌟
