Happy new week : )
Trust you had a great weekend and your week is going great so far?
So sorry this week’s newsletter came late. I’ve been trying to figure out a couple of things the past few days.
Here’s what I have for you this week:
What I did last week(s) 😇
  1. I published 5 ways to increase your chances of Getting Interviews. The tech job market is crazy these days, and with a lot of people applying for the same job you’re applying for, your chances for getting into interviews are minimal. In this video, I share ways to increase your chances.
  2. I published CSS Pseudo Classes vs Pseudo Elements Explained (with examples). Pseudo classes and Pseudo Elements are two types of selectors in CSS for applying styles are different occasions. In this video, I explained the differences.
  3. I added more videos to my two currently active playlists on my Tech YouTube channel: JavaScript Array Methods Explained where I explain all the array methods in JavaScript and CSS Pseudo Elements Explained where I explain all the pseudo elements and their purpose in CSS.
  4. On TikTok, I shared 6 Things I wish I knew when I started coding, Tips you can apply when going to Intro Interviews, Getting Started with sharing what you learn/build, and I also answered the question: Should you go into frontend or backend as a beginner developer.
  5. I shared different posts explaining concepts around JavaScript and CSS on Instagram. Currently growing at 12k 😇

Useful tip of the day ✨
Here’s a short way of checking if a property exists in an object:
const obj = {
type: "javascript"
const doesPropertyExist = "name" in obj
doesPropertyExist will be false as the “name” property does not exist in the object.
That’s it for this week. If you liked any of the content I shared in this newsletter, please share :)
Recently, I’ve been using my personal TikTok (@iamdillion) to share Tech information and my career experiences. You can follow me there if you’re interested :)
Here’s a technical writing resource I created, Simplified Technical Writing, where I share most (if not all) of my experience in Technical writing. In it, I share how to get started, how to get topics, writing jobs you can apply for and so much more. Do check it out if interested and share : )
